Stuart Sterzel is the Executive Chairman of the Company. He has conducted business in more than 50 countries throughout Europe, North America, Asia, the CIS and Africa – primarily through companies which he was the owner or part-owner of. His fields of focus have been the telecommunications, financial services, hydrocarbons and State infrastructure sectors. He also previously provided Specialist Consulting Services on Project Structuring to multinational corporations and government departments in various countries, and has also provided Geopolitical Consulting services to National and Regional government departments in various countries, and to International Organizations. His Pro Bono activities have included Chairing a private Humanitarian Relief Organization which he established in Austria and a Military Veterans Organization in South Africa, and attending the United Nations World Conference on Sustainable Development as a Delegate and Speaker at the IRFD Forum. He has previously provided Geopolitical comment on television, and has occasionally written Geopolitical and Op-Ed articles for publication in international newspapers. Prior to his commercial career, he was a member of a Military Intelligence Organization and a Special Forces Operator.
Anderson has been a member of the Company’s management for several years, during which time he has progressed from Head of Support, to Chief Support Officer, to Chief Operations Officer. He has personally designed some of the Company’s bespoke operational systems and applications – including the Company’s Multilingual Client Support Platform – which is a world-first system. He has also been involved in the planning of and implementation management of other new systems and processes within the Company, as well as managing and directing all aspects of the Company’s operations, both internally and with third-party service-providers. Prior to joining the Company, Anderson was in a Senior Management position in the Hotel industry, where he was responsible for the management of personnel and administration, quality control and client/service-provider liaison. After leaving that position, he underwent international training courses in online fraud and credit-card fraud detection and prevention, as well as familiarization training in international liaison with online telecommunications service providers. He holds a degree in interactive design and graphic design, and is also highly qualified in respect of computing and IT skill sets, He is also the owner of an online retail company.
Jorgen has global business experience and relationships in over 100 countries. He was previously the Executive Vice President of the Global Customer Unit for Vodafone and Ericsson. In this position, he was responsible for global Sales, Marketing, Technology and Operational Teams, direct control of the Key Account Management organizations and services & support organizations in 21 countries. His achievements included introducing a Pan-European Managed Service Program, introducing Ericsson into Vodafone India’s four major circles with the fastest change-out in the Industry, modernization of Vodafone Germany’s network and introducing Ericsson with 3G Mobile Broadband at Vodafone UK, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Egypt, Greece, Fiji and Australia. From Vodafone / Ericsson, Jorgen became Chief Executive Officer at Acision – the largest Messaging Company in the world, with a customer base of 270 Mobile Operators in 130 Countries. While there he Introduced new IP cloud-based products & Internet-influenced commercial models, oversaw the addition of relevant competencies into analytics, implemented social network and IP evolution processes, improved the company’s financial performance, centralized corporate governance, raised operational capabilities, improved traditional products and increased resources for development of new products. Prior to his positions at Vodafone / Ericsson and Acision, Jorgen had acted in executive positions at Telia Sonera and Compaq. He is the author of the 2012 Thomson Reuters book “Global leadership Strategies”.
Barry has wide-ranging business experience in Europe, Asia and Africa. He has held managerial, executive and directorship appointments in multinational companies including IBM, Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton. He was a non-executive chairman of an Australian listed company. During his career he held functional responsibilities for finance, information systems, procurement, marketing and production control. He was an executive member of teams which developed major new mining projects. During several roles he was responsible for project evaluation and corporate planning. He has negotiated legal and commercial matters with government bodies, and corporate finance arrangements with the European Investment Bank. He was a non-executive director of a London-based economic research group.
Martyn has over 29 years’ experience in the financial sector with various roles in Banking, Broking and Fund Management. In 2001 he joined New Star Investment Funds Limited to help manage and oversee the administration and banking of the outsourced UK business. In 2009, New Star was acquired by Henderson Global Investors and Martyn became the Head of Client Services for the EMEA region, where he oversaw the administration and client services for the UK, Luxembourg and Dublin businesses. Martyn has previously chaired a number of operational committees including the Investment Association Fund Operations Committee, before setting up his own consultancy business in 2018.
Pieter Fourie is the Head of Independent Agent Liaison. Pieter’s initial career was in the military, in which he occupied various leadership and command positions, ending his military career as the Officer Commanding the Small Teams unit of Special Forces. In his civilian career thereafter, he occupied positions of Project Manager or Country Manager for multinational corporations engaged in stabilization activities in high-risk countries. Pieter has extensive experience of forming and managing harmonious and effective teams, comprising diverse personnel, across multiple countries and cultures. He is also experienced in assessing, developing and enhancing effective team and personnel management structures. Pieter’s role is to – on behalf of the Company – liaise with and assist Tier 1 Independent Agents who are establishing TEL.mobi Group VSMPs internationally.
After initially qualifying as an accountant, Stewart worked in a variety of senior financial services roles in primarily Finance, Operations and Fund Management roles. He has primarily worked in the banking and insurance sectors in the UK, and his career has predominantly been spent in retail asset management. His previous professional positions include those of Chief Operating Officer of Norwich Union Investment Funds Ltd, joint Managing Director of New Star Investment Funds Ltd, Managing Director, Distribution at Henderson Global Investors plc and Chief Operating Officer, Distribution, at Old Mutual Wealth Management plc.
John has been a successful Entrepreneur and Venture Capitalist since the early 1980s. After an initial career in the Costing, Estimating and Business Administration disciplines in the printing industry, John joined the McCann Advertising Agency. Focusing initially on print and production, he was then seconded to work on the 1982 Soccer World Cup in Spain on behalf of FIFA, working with sponsors to maximize their investment in the project. At the end of the tournament, he established his own Print Production and Graphic Design companies and, thereafter, a full-service advertising agency. The client base of the graphic design company included FIFA, UEFA, The Football Association, Rugby Football Union, Davis Cup Tennis Tournament and various other sporting organizations, companies and entities in multiple countries. Thereafter, John established a medical diagnostic company specializing in FDA-approved testing systems, for which he obtained substantial contracts from numerous State and Government organizations in the United Kingdom. After leading his company through a sustained period of growth he sold it in a successful Trade Sale in 2007, and has since acted as an Independent Business Consultant and Venture Capitalist.
Alasdair worked in the City of London for 25 years. After graduating in London in Economics and Finance he worked as a UK equity analyst with Laing and Cruickshank and then US equity sales with Rowe and Pitman (SG Warburg) in San Francisco and London. In 1984 he moved to Credit Suisse First Boston in US equity institutional sales, working in New York and London. In 1990 he joined Smith Barney (later Citigroup) as Senior Vice President US equity sales, London. He was appointed Managing Director of Citigroup in 1999 and in 2002 he became responsible for US institutional equity research and corporate marketing across Europe. Since leaving Citigroup, Alasdair has acted as an independent adviser to, and investor in, a variety of private companies. He is also a partner in WJW Partnership, a property investment partnership specializing in student accommodation. In 2011 he graduated with an MA in Military History from the University of Buckingham, specializing in British Military Spending 1919-1939. He retains a keen and active interest in politics, military history, rugby and cricket.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in the UK, Richard worked as an accountant in various companies before becoming finance director of Luxury Retail Company in the City of London and, thereafter, Finance Director of a commercial and retail Property Company in London. Using the experience gained in these positions – where he could reduce costs and boost production and productivity – he went on to found his own company which dealt in Geared Traded Endowment Policies throughout the UK. After founding his first company, Richard went on to found a series of successful companies and business projects in multiple business sectors in the UK, Canada and Germany across diverse business sectors, including property developments, waste to energy projects, motel developments and administration of endowment policy portfolios and funds.
